General Questions

License Master is a complete software licensing and distribution platform for developers. It provides all the tools you need to sell, protect, and deliver updates for your digital products (like WordPress plugins, themes, or other scripts). It comes in two versions: a self-hosted "Simple System" you can buy and run on your own server, and a fully-managed SaaS platform you can subscribe to.

Simple System (CodeCanyon Version): This is a script you purchase once and install on your own server (cPanel or VPS). It is single-tenant, meaning it's designed for you to manage all of *your own* products. You have full control over the code and data.

SaaS Version: This is our hosted service. You simply sign up for a subscription plan, and we handle all the server setup, maintenance, and updates. It's multi-tenant, allowing you to create accounts for your clients (as `support-agent` roles) who can then manage their own products under your main account.

Licensing & Usage

Each license key is tied to an activation limit that you set when you create a product. For example, if you set the limit to '1', your customer can activate their license on one live domain. If they want to move their website to a new domain, they will need to first deactivate the license on the old site to free up the activation slot. Our API and SDK handle this process automatically.

Yes! The core of License Master is a standard REST API. You can make HTTP POST requests to the verification and activation endpoints from any application, in any programming language (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, C#, etc.). We provide a PHP SDK as a convenience for WordPress developers because it includes the necessary hooks for automatic updates, but the API itself is universal.

Technical & Installation

For the self-hosted "Simple System", you will need a standard web server that meets the requirements for Laravel 11. Our web-based installer checks these for you automatically. The key requirements are:

PHP Version 8.2 or higher
MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+
Essential PHP Extensions: BCMath, Ctype, Fileinfo, JSON, Mbstring, OpenSSL, PDO, Tokenizer, XML, and ZipArchive.
The server must be able to make outbound cURL requests for license verification.

No. Our product includes a complete web-based installation wizard. You simply upload the files, create a database, and visit your domain in a browser. The installer guides you through server checks, license verification, and database setup without needing to use the command line.

Security & Billing

No client-side code can be 100% immune to a dedicated attacker. However, our provided PHP SDK is "hardened" to make bypassing it significantly more difficult than a simple license check. It includes obfuscation of API endpoints and a file integrity hash check. This forces a would-be cracker to reverse-engineer the code rather than just changing a single line, which deters most casual piracy.

All payments and subscription billing are handled by Stripe, a global leader in online payments. We do not store any of your sensitive credit card information on our servers. Your billing information is managed securely in a Stripe Customer Portal.
